This show is like any other cabaret show in Bangkok, but better. A cabaret is a form of entertainment that’s seen in a theater.

The typical audience of a show like this is usually immobile in their theater seats but there are cabaret shows that are integrated with fine dining as well.

What makes a ladyboy cabaret show more spectacular is its performers. I’ve personally experienced watching some in Bangkok and I can still remember how in awe I was with how beautiful the ladyboys were. So much so that in one show, I gave one of the ladies all of the cash that’s in my wallet.

The one that I’ve watched with my transmom back in 2008 was called the Calypso Cabaret Bangkok.

I’m currently 30-years old and I’ve watched the show when I was 18 (in yellow dress) so everything’s a bit hazy when it comes to the exact details. Pardonne moi if I get the numbers wrong.

Tipping and Photo Ops

I have a friend who used to work in a ladyboy cabaret show in Manila. She told me that their salary is quite low and that she makes more from tips than her actual monthly wage.

However, I got so wowed by a certain ladyboy who was wearing a sequined red leotard which encouraged my mind to be like… You’re very pretty. Here, take my money!

Added to that, if you’re planning to tip a ladyboy performer, please don’t give her anything lower than 100 baht ($3~). Anything below that is unacceptable and insulting.

Shows outside of Bangkok

If you want to watch the most prestigious ladyboy show, you’re not going to find it in the capital city. The reason being is because the most popular ladyboy cabaret show in the WORLD called Tiffany’s Ladyboy Cabaret Show, is in Pattaya.

Have you heard of Miss International Queen? Did you know that it is held annually in Tiffany’s? If it’s the crème de la crème that you’re looking for, it’s time to start booking those bus tickets (or private plane Mr. Money Bags).

You can also find such shows in Patong Phuket if your vacation is more in tune with a paradise-like setting. Chiang Mai ladyboy shows also exist if your original plan is to visit Thailand’s world-famous temples.

Ladyboy performances in Koh Samui and Koh Tao are also viable options so you’re really not going to have any problems in including this type of glamorous show in your itinerary.

Other countries to watch ladyboy shows

Albeit Thailand being the most popular when it comes to ladyboy entertainment, there are other countries with beautiful ladyboy performers as well. I’ve also watched the Amazing Show in Manila and it was quite remarkable.

Shows in Manila

Before I fangirl too much, I just want to say that I’m writing this guide based on my own experience. Everything that will be listed in this section will include a lot of my biases.

I have not watched the Tiffany Show yet but I’m pretty sure that it’s iconic. However, comparing between Calypso Cabaret Bangkok Show and the Amazing Show Manila, I enjoyed the latter better.

The reason being is because I felt that Amazing Show Manila had more popular titles in their performances. They have:

• The Phantom of the Opera (my favorite musical)
• Teresa Teng songs
• Enigma’s Principles of Lust
• And my all-time favorite singer Mariah Carey’s song “All I want for Christmas is You”

However, the last time that I’ve watched both shows was in 2008 so don’t let this opinion stop you from seeing any show that you want. Furthermore, If your vacation is in the Paradise Island of Boracay, you can also watch the Amazing Show there.

Shows in Melbourne

If you’re from a land down under, you should check your local listings of ladyboy performances in Melbourne. They’ve launched the show called Thailand’s Ladyboy Superstars back in 2016 but I am not sure if it still exists.

Cabaret shows are different from strip-tease shows. If you’re looking to watch ladyboys dancing on top of the bar naked, you could try Nana Plaza.

However, I’ve watched some clips in the aftershow of Tiffany’s, and some ladyboys allow the customers to take photos with them while having their breasts cupped or with their breasts hanging out.

Can I take them out on a date?

You’re welcome to do so but ask their phone numbers in a respectful manner. Not everyone’s open to going out with a random stranger. Added to that, I’m pretty sure that most of them are taken already as the majority of the performers are quite stunning.
