Facebook is a gargantuous machine with close to 3 billion users (who don&#8217;t pay), and &#8220;only&#8221; 60,000 employees. That&#8217;s one employee for every 50k users. They don&#8217;t have the resources to provide support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Instead, Facebook relies on robots (ie algorithms) to take decisions automatically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So if, let&#8217;s say, your Facebook account gets banned \u2013 automatically \u2013 by mistake, there is no hotline to call and no friendly agent to help you fix it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is very common, and you can read a lot of Facebook horror stories like this online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, when you have a work relationship with Facebook (eg as developers, like us), you would expect Facebook to treat you a little bit better than this. First, because there are much fewer developers than users. And second, because developers actually add VALUE to Facebook. The more developers integrate Facebook into their apps \/ sites, the more it makes Facebook useful and worth using.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Well, no. Facebook treats developers (and also their other business clients, like advertisers) like \ud83d\udca9, <a href=\"https:\/\/developers.facebook.com\/community\/threads\/274206847832983\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">same<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/developers.facebook.com\/community\/threads\/740066899871312\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">as<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/developers.facebook.com\/community\/threads\/464042651096790\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">their<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/developers.facebook.com\/community\/threads\/361446551922583\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">users<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How Facebook treats developers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The story I&#8217;m about to tell actually follows the first story I wrote on <a href=\"https:\/\/mytransgenderdate.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">My Transgender Date<\/a>&#8216;s blog not even one month ago. I recommend you read it first here:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mytransgenderdate.com\/blog\/2022\/05\/good-bye-facebook-horror-story\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/mytransgenderdate.com\/blog\/2022\/05\/good-bye-facebook-horror-story<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Long story short, starting 2021 Facebook has been sending us a ridiculous amount of &#8220;compliance reviews&#8221; (which is detailed <a href=\"https:\/\/mytransgenderdate.com\/blog\/2022\/05\/good-bye-facebook-horror-story\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">in the previous blog post<\/a>). Like, every month a new review, asking a ridiculous amount of irrelevant information. The reviews must be answered within a certain number of days, or we get shutdown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Until today, I was always able to provide the information Facebook wanted in order to complete the reviews. It took me a lot of time and energy, but it worked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But, on 7 June 2022, Facebook sent me this email:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"396\" src=\"https:\/\/myladyboydate.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Screenshot-2022-06-07-at-18.15.26-1024x396.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6476\" srcset=\"https:\/\/myladyboydate.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Screenshot-2022-06-07-at-18.15.26-1024x396.png 1024w, https:\/\/myladyboydate.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Screenshot-2022-06-07-at-18.15.26-300x116.png 300w, https:\/\/myladyboydate.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Screenshot-2022-06-07-at-18.15.26-768x297.png 768w, https:\/\/myladyboydate.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Screenshot-2022-06-07-at-18.15.26-1536x595.png 1536w, https:\/\/myladyboydate.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Screenshot-2022-06-07-at-18.15.26-2048x793.png 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>No review this time. The app was deactivated right away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I replied and provided what they asked. I received this email 30 seconds later:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"244\" src=\"https:\/\/myladyboydate.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Screenshot-2022-06-07-at-18.13.49-1024x244.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6477\" srcset=\"https:\/\/myladyboydate.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Screenshot-2022-06-07-at-18.13.49-1024x244.png 1024w, https:\/\/myladyboydate.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Screenshot-2022-06-07-at-18.13.49-300x71.png 300w, https:\/\/myladyboydate.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Screenshot-2022-06-07-at-18.13.49-768x183.png 768w, https:\/\/myladyboydate.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Screenshot-2022-06-07-at-18.13.49-1536x366.png 1536w, https:\/\/myladyboydate.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Screenshot-2022-06-07-at-18.13.49-2048x488.png 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>They closed the case automatically!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No human actually read my reply and checked the info I provided.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And any subsequent attempt to reply was answered with the same &#8220;Case closed&#8221; automated response.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Remember, there is no hotline, no email address, no contact form, etc. to get any support. So this is the end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The result is that My Ladyboy Date has ~30,000 members who rely on &#8220;Facebook Login&#8221;.
