These are men who are into transgender women. The term was also hurled as an insult against the trans community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Origin of the word<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">It\u2019s a play of 2 words which are <strong>\u201cShe\u201d and \u201cMale\u201d.<\/strong> Its long-form can also be read as \u201cShe is Male\u201d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Suffice to say, <strong>it discredits the womanhood of transwomen<\/strong> but we will discuss that more in the latter parts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How does she look like?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Since <strong>shemale<\/strong> is an umbrella term for transgender women (albeit offensive), they come in different forms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Some have undergone <a href=\"https:\/\/mytransgenderdate.com\/blog\/2020\/05\/what-is-transgender-hormone-replacement-therapy\/\" class=\"ek-link\">hormone replacement therapy<\/a> and look quite feminine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some are natural and some have had cosmetic procedures done i.e. including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>breast augmentation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>hip and buttocks enhancements<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>shaving of the adam\u2019s apple<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>and more<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Furthermore, <a class=\"ek-link\" href=\"https:\/\/mytransgenderdate.com\/blog\/2019\/08\/denying-that-i-am-a-pre-op-transgender-woman\/\">post-op transwomen<\/a> (the ones who don\u2019t have male genitalia anymore) are sometimes still <strong>addressed as shemales<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Word usage popularity<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\"><strong>The term<\/strong> is more popular in the west and was popularized in the mid-19th century. Its counterpart in the east would be \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/myladyboydate.com\/ladyboy\">ladyboy<\/a>\u201d. They kinda share the same meaning and intent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">However, <strong>ladyboy is usually less offensive<\/strong> as countries that often use the term don\u2019t speak English as a first language (Thailand, Philippines, etc).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Others also use this term to insult cisgender or trans woman who are deemed to be:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>an aggressive woman<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>humorous colloquialism for female especially an aggressive one<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>imply that she is working in the streets (<a href=\"https:\/\/myladyboydate.com\/blog\/2014\/02\/but-arent-all-ladyboys-prostitutes\">street walker<\/a>)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>an individual with less pronounced female secondary s*x characteristics<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>This is obvious and you\u2019ll see the difference in terms of race when you perform a search of the 2 words in Google Images accordingly.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to meet shemales<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">If you are into <a href=\"https:\/\/mytransgenderdate.com\">trans dating<\/a> or curious about <a href=\"https:\/\/myladyboydate.com\/ladyboy#asia\">Asian ladyboy<\/a>, you can meet them by using a dating site like <a class=\"ek-link\" href=\"https:\/\/myladyboydate.com\/\">My Ladyboy Date<\/a>. Added to that, some just don\u2019t know the correct word to address transgender women.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Bigots<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">If you still want to use this word for any reason, you may as well be one of the bigots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">If the word doesn\u2019t directly affect you but you are aware of <strong>its repercussions when it comes to transwomen\u2019s feelings<\/strong>\u2026 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>yet, you choose to keep saying it carelessly, you\u2019re indeed a bigot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\"><em>Alright, let me take a breather lol. That paragraph was too long, Amanda!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">I digress. Another group of people uses the word as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Transgender Women<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">This may seem hypocritical to you but <strong>transwomen CAN use this<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Take the same principle of why the <strong>\u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/stories-53749800\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">N-word<\/a>\u201d<\/strong> CAN only be used by black people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">We are the only ones who\u2019ve experienced the impact (mostly negative) of this word and we\u2019ve earned the right to use it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">If you\u2019re not a person of trans experience, you should lay off this word completely if you don\u2019t want to offend anyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Frankly, I don\u2019t see any benefit for you of using this word in any way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Adult Industry<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\"><strong>The term shemale<\/strong> became popular before the terms:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>transgender<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>transwomen<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>transgender women<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>More people type it on the web browser when they\u2019re looking <strong>for trans adult films<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">The language of humans and the language of search engines are a bit different from each other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">This is why <strong>the adult industry<\/strong> is still using this term. They\u2019re not defined by how they look and other superficial aspects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Their gender is determined by how they feel and goes beyond what others think of them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">They have a big <strong>girltoy<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">When you type <strong>this word<\/strong> in search engines, you\u2019ll often see well-hung transgender person engaging <a href=\"https:\/\/myladyboydate.com\/blog\/2013\/11\/sexual-roles-in-ladyboy-dating\">in <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/myladyboydate.com\/blog\/2013\/11\/sexual-roles-in-ladyboy-dating\">making love<\/a> as a top. <strong>Most adult entertainers<\/strong> are hung, be it men or shemales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">A person outside the trans world or trans experience often sees these images which has led to the misconception that <strong>all of them have big <strong>breasts<\/strong> and big <strong>genitals<\/strong><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">They only <strong>make love<\/strong> with men<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">This is wrong. <strong>Not all of them are heterosexuals<\/strong>. We are not creatures of \u201cduality\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Our trans experience and transition didn\u2019t occur in order to fulfill people\u2019s <em>\u201cbest of both worlds\u201d<\/em> fantasy.
